2016-17 RockATOP

RockATOP met on February 15, 2017. The team concluded its work on the Nursing Pathway and planned the content of a video that will be used to promote the pathway. RockATOP met on November 3, 2016. We welcome new members to the group: Beth Smith, RCS IMC; Alicia Parker, Owner of Royalty Adult & Pediatric Care; Jason Tuggle, MHS Assistant Principal; Misty Slade, HMS Assistant Principal and Rebecca Sutton, MHS student. RockATOP Team Members met on February 9, 2016. The team made a tremendous amount of progress in determining a set of classes and experiences that would place high school students who are aspiring nurses the best chance of experiencing success within the Nursing Program at RCC and beyond. TOP logo Welcome new Rock-ATOP members! The Rockingham County Apprenticeship & Technical Opportunities Partnership will create a pathway within the field of Health Science this year. The group will work to create a sequence of RCS and RCC courses as well as work-based learning experiences for Rockingham County Schools' students that will lead to a promising career in the field of Health Care. Rockingham Community College and Rockingham County Schools CTE staff presented at the National Career Pathway Conference in Dallas Texas on October 29th. The team highlighted progress made with the Machining, Automation, and Welding Pathway Plan developed during the 2014-15 School Year.
